Lobbying and government affairs

What does a lobbyist do?

A lobbyist advocates for a client's interests before government tracking legislation, meeting with lawmakers and agency officials, testifying in committee, and building the relationships that move policy. At Frontline, that also means shaping the strategy behind the advocacy: what to ask for, when, and who needs to hear it.

What's the difference between lobbying and government affairs?

Lobbying is the direct advocacy: the meetings, testimony, and outreach to officials. Government affairs is the broader umbrella — monitoring policy, analyzing risk, managing regulatory relationships, and positioning a client over the long term. Frontline does both, so the day-to-day advocacy is backed by a real strategy.

What are Louisiana's lobbying disclosure rules?

Louisiana requires lobbyists to register with the Louisiana Board of Ethics and file regular reports on their activity and expenditures. Frontline handles its own registration and compliance, and we can walk you through anything that applies on your end.

Do you work with clients outside Baton Rouge?

Yes. We're based in Baton Rouge, minutes from the Capitol, but our clients operate all over the country and much of the work, from agency advocacy to coalition building to strategy, happens statewide and in Washington.
